In ia_css_3a_statistics_allocate(), there is no check on the allocation
result of the rgby_data memory. If rgby_data is not successfully
allocated, it may trigger the assert(host_stats-&gt;rgby_data) assertion in
ia_css_s3a_hmem_decode(). Adding a check to fix this potential issue.

The struct vchiq_arm_state 'platform_state' is currently allocated
dynamically using kzalloc(). Unfortunately, it is never freed and is
subjected to memory leaks in the error handling paths of the probe()
function.

To address the issue, use device resource management helper
devm_kzalloc(), to ensure cleanup after its allocation.

The whole benefit of this encapsulating struct is questionable.
It just stores a flag to signalize the init state of vchiq_arm_state.
Beside the fact this flag is set too soon, the access to uninitialized
members should be avoided. So initialize vchiq_arm_state properly before
assign it directly to vchiq_state.

In the ad9832_write_frequency() function, clk_get_rate() might return 0.
This can lead to a division by zero when calling ad9832_calc_freqreg().
The check if (fout &gt; (clk_get_rate(st-&gt;mclk) / 2)) does not protect
against the case when fout is 0. The ad9832_write_frequency() function
is called from ad9832_write(), and fout is derived from a text buffer,
which can contain any value.

The geoid is a module parameter that allows users to hardcode the slot number.
A bound check for geoid was added in the probe function because only values
between 0 and less than VME_MAX_SLOT are valid.

Avoid unnecessary nested min()/max() which results in egregious macro
expansion.

Use clamp_t() as this introduces the least possible expansion, and turn
the {s,u}DIGIT_FITTING() macros into inline functions to avoid the
nested expansion.

This resolves an issue with slackware 15.0 32-bit compilation as
reported by Richard Narron.

Presumably the min/max fixups would be difficult to backport, this patch
should be easier and fix's Richard's problem in 5.15.

In ad9834_write_frequency() clk_get_rate() can return 0. In such case
ad9834_calc_freqreg() call will lead to division by zero. Checking
'if (fout &gt; (clk_freq / 2))' doesn't protect in case of 'fout' is 0.
ad9834_write_frequency() is called from ad9834_write(), where fout is
taken from text buffer, which can contain any value.

Modify parameters checking.

Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

This fixes a use before initialization in ad2s1210_probe(). The
ad2s1210_setup_gpios() function uses st-&gt;sdev but it was being called

The arche-ctrl has two platform drivers and three of_device_id tables,
but one table is only used for the the module loader, while the other
two seem to be associated with their drivers.

This leads to a W=1 warning when the driver is built-in:

drivers/staging/greybus/arche-platform.c:623:34: error: 'arche_combined_id' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-const-variable=]

Drop the extra table and register both tables that are actually
used as the ones for the module loader instead.
