commit d5b50055338e131a1a99f923ebb0361974a00f36 upstream.

tegra_get_format_fourcc_by_idx() returns a u32 but uses -EINVAL to
signal an out-of-bounds index. This results in a large unsigned
value being returned, which may be interpreted as a valid fourcc.

Returning 0 is not a valid fourcc either. This condition should
never happen, so use WARN_ON_ONCE() to catch unexpected out-of-bounds
access and return a valid fallback format instead.

commit 940f161f734b25f175a95d2684c2021f6323693a upstream.

The vdec_open() function previously jumped directly to
err_m2m_release when vdec_init_ctrls() failed, skipping
release of the m2m context. This caused a resource leak.

Fix it by introducing a proper err_m2m_ctx_release label
that calls v4l2_m2m_ctx_release(sess->m2m_ctx) before
releasing the m2m device.

commit 10358ea986c3c85516d1c8206486464f79d36e76 upstream.

Cedrus consumes H.264 ref_pic_list0/ref_pic_list1 entries from the
stateless slice control and later uses their indices to look up
decode->dpb[] in _cedrus_write_ref_list().

Rejecting such controls in cedrus_try_ctrl() would break existing
userspace, since stateless H.264 reference lists may legitimately carry
out-of-range indices for missing references. Instead, guard the actual
DPB lookup in Cedrus and skip entries whose indices do not fit the fixed
V4L2_H264_NUM_DPB_ENTRIES array.

This keeps the fix local to the driver use site and avoids out-of-bounds
reads from malformed or unsupported reference list entries.

commit d99732334aaf33b9f93926b70b6a11c2cef3de39 upstream.

According to the documentation struct v4l2_fh has to be cleaned up with
v4l2_fh_exit() before being freed. [1]
Currently there is no actual bug here, when v4l2_fh_exit() isn't called.
v4l2_fh_exit() in this case only destroys internal mutex. But it may
change in the future, when v4l2_fh_init/v4l2_fh_exit will be enhanced.

commit 2c869b6969f3061cbbdab587f4c0a88bd7fc3cc9 upstream.

cedrus_probe() initializes the media device before registering the video
device, the media controller, and the media device. If any of those later
steps fails, probe returns without calling media_device_cleanup(), so the
media device internals initialized by media_device_init() are left behind.

Add a media-device cleanup label to the probe unwind path and route video
registration failures through it as well.

[ Upstream commit 4e8156bd9517fa18c3613ea39c222c7035f0221e ]

atomisp_v4l2_framebuffer_to_css_frame() allocates memory for
temporary variable raw_black_frame, which must be released via
ia_css_frame_free() before the function returns. However, if
sh_css_set_black_frame() fails, the function returns immediately without
performing this cleanup, leading to a memory leak.

Fix this by assigning the return value of sh_css_set_black_frame() to
ret. This ensures that the error code is propagated while allowing the
execution to fall through to the ia_css_frame_free() cleanup call.

The bug was originally detected on v6.13-rc1 using an experimental
static analysis tool we are developing, and we have verified that the
issue persists in the latest mainline kernel. The tool is based on the
LLVM framework and is specifically designed to detect memory management
issues. It is currently under active development and not yet publicly
available.

We performed build testing on x86_64 with allyesconfig. Since triggering
this error path in atomisp requires specific Intel Atom ISP hardware and
firmware, we were unable to perform runtime testing and instead verified
the fix according to the code logic.

commit f4d51e55dd47ef467fbe37d8575e20eee41b092d upstream.

The load_primary_binaries() function is overly complex and has som large
variables on the stack, which can cause warnings depending on CONFIG_FRAME_WARN
setting:

drivers/staging/media/atomisp/pci/sh_css.c: In function 'load_primary_binaries':
drivers/staging/media/atomisp/pci/sh_css.c:5260:1: error: the frame size of 1560 bytes is larger than 1536 bytes [-Werror=frame-larger-than=]

Half of the stack usage is for the prim_descr[] array, but only one
member of the array is used at any given time.

Reduce the stack usage by turning the array into a single structure.

[ Upstream commit dccc0c3ddf8f16071736f98a7d6dd46a2d43e037 ]

Some rc device drivers have a race condition between rc_unregister_device()
and irq or urb callbacks. This is because rc_unregister_device() does two
things, it marks the device as unregistered so no new commands can be
issued and then it calls rc_free_device(). This means the driver has no
chance to cancel any pending urb callbacks or interrupts after the device
has been marked as unregistered. Those callbacks may access struct rc_dev
or its members (e.g. struct ir_raw_event_ctrl), which have been freed by
rc_free_device().

This change removes the implicit call to rc_free_device() from
rc_unregister_device(). This means that device drivers can call
rc_unregister_device() in their remove or disconnect function, then cancel
all the urbs and interrupts before explicitly calling rc_free_device().

Note this is an alternative fix for an issue found by Haotian Zhang, see
the Closes: tags.
