[ Upstream commit 2a9d50e9ea406e0c8735938484adc20515ef1b47 ]

When the remoteproc starts in parallel with the NGD driver being probed,
or the remoteproc is already up when the PDR lookup is being registered,
or in the theoretical event that we get an interrupt from the hardware,
these callbacks will operate on uninitialized data. This result in
issues to boot the affected boards.

One such example can be seen in the following fault, where
qcom_slim_ngd_ssr_pdr_notify() schedules work on the NULL ngd_up_work.

[   21.858578] ------------[ cut here ]------------

...

Move the enablement of interrupts, and the registration of SSR and PDR
until after the NGD device has been registered.

This could be further refined by moving initialization to the control
driver probe and by removing the platform driver model from the picture.

commit 9391380eb91ea5ac792aae9273535c8da5b9aa01 upstream.

Slimbus devices can be allocated dynamically upon reception of
report-present messages.

Make sure to drop the reference taken when looking up already registered
devices.

Note that this requires taking an extra reference in case the device has
not yet been registered and has to be allocated.

commit 96cf8500934e0ce2a6c486f1dbc3b1fff12f7a5e upstream.

The function qcom_slim_ngd_notify_slaves() calls of_slim_get_device() which
internally uses device_find_child() to obtain a device reference.
According to the device_find_child() documentation,
the caller must drop the reference with put_device() after use.

Found via static analysis and this is similar to commit 4e65bda8273c

commit dcb0d43ba8eb9517e70b1a0e4b0ae0ab657a0e5a upstream.

In case of interrupt delay for any reason, slim_do_transfer()
returns timeout error but the transaction ID (TID) is not freed.
This results into invalid memory access inside
qcom_slim_ngd_rx_msgq_cb() due to invalid TID.

Fix the issue by freeing the TID in slim_do_transfer() before
returning timeout error to avoid invalid memory access.

commit fe503887eed6ea528e144ec8dacfa1d47aa701ac upstream.

platform_get_irq() returns non-zero IRQ number on success,
negative error number on failure.
And the doc of platform_get_irq() provides a usage example:

    int irq = platform_get_irq(pdev, 0);
    if (irq < 0)
        return irq;

Fix the check of return value to catch errors correctly.

[ Upstream commit a263c1ff6abe0e66712f40d595bbddc7a35907f8 ]

In some usecases transaction ids are dynamically allocated inside
the controller driver after sending the messages which have generic
acknowledge responses. So check for this before refcounting pm_runtime.

Without this we would end up imbalancing runtime pm count by
doing pm_runtime_put() in both slim_do_transfer() and slim_msg_response()
for a single  pm_runtime_get() in slim_do_transfer()
