This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) (where TYPE may also be *VAR) The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning "TYPE *". Signed-off-by: Kees Cook

In clang version 21.1 and later the -Wimplicit-enum-enum-cast warning option has been introduced. This warning is enabled by default and can be used to catch .queuecommand() implementations that return another value than 0 or one of the SCSI_MLQUEUE_* constants. Hence this patch that changes the return type of the .queuecommand() implementations from 'int' into 'enum scsi_qc_status'. No functionality has been changed. While we really should be killing the block layer bounce buffering ASAP, I even more urgently need to stop the drivers to fiddle with the limits from ->slave_configure. Add a no_highmem flag to the Scsi_Host to centralize this setting and switch the remaining four drivers that use block layer bounce buffering to it.
