rapidio: remove choice for enumeration

This is the last use of the tristate choice. This choice was introduced a decade ago by commit a11650e11093 ("rapidio: make enumeration/discovery configurable"). rapidio: Replace 'select' DMAENGINES 'with depends on'

Enabling a whole subsystem from a single driver 'select' is frowned upon and won't be accepted in new drivers, that need to use 'depends on' instead. treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'

Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation. There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada

There is no good reason to duplicate the RAPIDIO menu in various architectures. Instead provide a selectable HAVE_RAPIDIO symbol that indicates native availability of RAPIDIO support and the handle the rest in drivers/pci. This also means we now provide support for PCI(e) to Rapidio bridges for every architecture instead of a limited subset. rapidio: add RapidIO channelized messaging driver

Add channelized messaging driver to support native RapidIO messaging exchange between multiple senders/recipients on devices that use kernel RapidIO subsystem services. This device driver is the result of collaboration within the RapidIO.org Software Task Group (STG) between Texas Instruments, Prodrive Technologies, Nokia Networks, BAE and IDT. Additional input was received from other members of RapidIO.org. The objective was to create a character mode driver interface which exposes messaging capabilities of RapidIO endpoint devices (mports) directly to applications, in a manner that allows the numerous and varied RapidIO implementations to interoperate. This char mode device driver allows user-space applications to setup messaging communication channels using single shared RapidIO messaging mailbox. By default this driver uses RapidIO MBOX_1 (MBOX_0 is reserved for use by RIONET Ethernet emulation driver). rapidio: convert switch drivers to modules

Rework RapidIO switch drivers to add an option to build them as loadable kernel modules. This patch removes RapidIO-specific vmlinux section and converts switch drivers to be compatible with LDM driver registration method. To simplify registration of device-specific callback routines this patch introduces rio_switch_ops data structure. The sw_sysfs() callback is removed from the list of device-specific operations because under the new structure its functions can be handled by switch driver's probe() and remove() routines. If a specific switch device driver is not loaded the RapidIO subsystem core will use default standard-based operations to configure a switch. Because the current implementation of RapidIO enumeration/discovery method relies on availability of device-specific operations for error management, switch device drivers must be loaded before the RapidIO enumeration/discovery starts. This patch also moves several common routines from enumeration/discovery module into the RapidIO core code to make switch-specific operations accessible to all components of RapidIO subsystem.
