[ Upstream commit 7c5c2b661bdb78c1472b8833265c9ed1ee880039 ] Serialization for the TX path was enforced by calling usb_kill_urb()/usb_kill_anchored_urbs(), to prevent transmission before a previous URB was completed. usb_tx_block() can be called from interrupt context (e.g. in the HCD giveback path), so we can't always use it to kill in-flight URBs. Prevent sleeping during interrupt context by checking the tx_submitted anchor for existing URBs. We now return -EBUSY, to indicate there's a pending request. wifi: mwifiex: Fix memory leak in mwifiex_11n_aggregate_pkt()

[ Upstream commit 990a73dec3fdc145fef6c827c29205437d533ece ] In mwifiex_11n_aggregate_pkt(), skb_aggr is allocated via mwifiex_alloc_dma_align_buf(). If mwifiex_is_ralist_valid() returns false, the function currently returns -1 immediately without freeing the previously allocated skb_aggr, causing a memory leak. Since skb_aggr has not yet been queued via skb_queue_tail(), no other references to this memory exist. Therefore, it has to be freed locally before returning the error. Fix this by calling mwifiex_write_data_complete() to free skb_aggr before returning the error status. Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool and code review. wifi: mwifiex: fix use-after-free in mwifiex_adapter_cleanup()

commit ae5e95d4157481693be2317e3ffcd84e36010cbb upstream. The mwifiex_adapter_cleanup() function uses timer_delete() (non-synchronous) for the wakeup_timer before the adapter structure is freed. This is incorrect because timer_delete() does not wait for any running timer callback to complete. If the wakeup_timer callback (wakeup_timer_fn) is executing when mwifiex_adapter_cleanup() is called, the callback will continue to access adapter fields (adapter->hw_status, adapter->if_ops.card_reset, etc.) which may be freed by mwifiex_free_adapter() called later in the mwifiex_remove_card() path. Use timer_delete_sync() instead to ensure any running timer callback has completed before returning. wifi: libertas: fix use-after-free in lbs_free_adapter()

The lbs_free_adapter() function uses timer_delete() (non-synchronous) for both command_timer and tx_lockup_timer before the structure is freed. This is incorrect because timer_delete() does not wait for any running timer callback to complete. If a timer callback is executing when lbs_free_adapter() is called, the callback will access freed memory since lbs_cfg_free() frees the containing structure immediately after lbs_free_adapter() returns. Both timer callbacks (lbs_cmd_timeout_handler and lbs_tx_lockup_handler) access priv->driver_lock, priv->cur_cmd, priv->dev, and other fields, which would all be use-after-free violations. Use timer_delete_sync() instead to ensure any running timer callback has completed before returning. This bug was introduced in commit 8f641d93c38a ("libertas: detect TX lockups and reset hardware") where del_timer() was used instead of del_timer_sync() in the cleanup path. The command_timer has had the same issue since the driver was first written. Convert more 'alloc_obj' cases to default GFP_KERNEL arguments

This converts some of the visually simpler cases that have been split over multiple lines. I only did the ones that are easy to verify the resulting diff by having just that final GFP_KERNEL argument on the next line. Somebody should probably do a proper coccinelle script for this, but for me the trivial script actually resulted in an assertion failure in the middle of the script. I probably had made it a bit _too_ trivial. So after fighting that far a while I decided to just do some of the syntactically simpler cases with variations of the previous 'sed' scripts. Convert 'alloc_flex' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument

This is the exact same thing as the 'alloc_obj()' version, only much smaller because there are a lot fewer users of the *alloc_flex() interface.
