commit 36dd7a4c6226133b0b7aa92b8e604e688d958d0c upstream.

Commit e3fffc1f0b47 ("devicetree: document new marvell-8xxx and
pwrseq-sd8787 options") documented a compatible string for SD8787 in
the devicetree bindings, but neglected to add it to the mwifiex driver.

Due to several bugs caused by timers being re-armed after they are
shutdown and just before they are freed, a new state of timers was added
called "shutdown". After a timer is set to this state, then it can no
longer be re-armed.

The following script was run to find all the trivial locations where
del_timer() or del_timer_sync() is called in the same function that the
object holding the timer is freed. It also ignores any locations where
the timer->function is modified between the del_timer*() and the free(),
as that is not considered a "trivial" case.

This was created by using a coccinelle script and the following
commands:

    $ cat timer.cocci

    expression ptr, slab;
    identifier timer, rfield;

strtobool() is the same as kstrtobool().
However, the latter is more used within the kernel.

In order to remove strtobool() and slightly simplify kstrtox.h, switch to
the other function name.

While at it, include the corresponding header file (<linux/kstrtox.h>)

pull-request: wireless-next-2022-10-28

First set of patches v6.2. mac80211 refactoring continues for Wi-Fi 7.
All mac80211 driver are now converted to use internal TX queues, this
might cause some regressions so we wanted to do this early in the
cycle.

Note: wireless tree was merged[1] to wireless-next to avoid some
conflicts with mac80211 patches between the trees. Unfortunately there
are still two smaller conflicts in net/mac80211/util.c which Stephen
also reported[2]. In the first conflict initialise scratch_len to
"params->scratch_len ?: 3 * params->len" (note number 3, not 2!) and
in the second conflict take the version which uses elems->scratch_pos.

The prandom_u32() function has been a deprecated inline wrapper around
get_random_u32() for several releases now, and compiles down to the
exact same code. Replace the deprecated wrapper with a direct call to
the real function. The same also applies to get_random_int(), which is
just a wrapper around get_random_u32(). This was done as a basic find
and replace.

mac80211 is fully switching over to the internal TX queue (iTXQ)
implementation. Update all drivers not yet providing the now mandatory
wake_tx_queue() callback.

As an side effect the netdev interfaces of all updated drivers will
switch to the noqueue qdisc.

There are sleep in atomic context bugs when uploading device dump
data in mwifiex. The root cause is that dev_coredumpv could not
be used in atomic contexts, because it calls dev_set_name which
include operations that may sleep. The call tree shows execution
paths that could lead to bugs:

   (Interrupt context)
fw_dump_timer_fn
  mwifiex_upload_device_dump
    dev_coredumpv(..., GFP_KERNEL)
      dev_coredumpm()
        kzalloc(sizeof(*devcd), gfp); //may sleep
        dev_set_name
          kobject_set_name_vargs
            kvasprintf_const(GFP_KERNEL, ...); //may sleep
            kstrdup(s, GFP_KERNEL); //may sleep

This patch uses delayed work to replace timer and moves the operations
that may sleep into a delayed work in order to mitigate bugs, it was
tested on Marvell 88W8801 chip whose port is usb and the firmware is
usb8801_uapsta.bin. The following is the result after using delayed
work to replace timer.

[  135.043344] usb 1-1: == mwifiex dump information to /sys/class/devcoredump end

As we can see, there is no bug now.

works in little endian we can assume the code is correct, so
just fix the casts accordingly. No binary changes on x86.
