<title>net: usb: catc: enable basic endpoint checking</title>

catc_probe() fills three URBs with hardcoded endpoint pipes without
verifying the endpoint descriptors:

  - usb_sndbulkpipe(usbdev, 1) and usb_rcvbulkpipe(usbdev, 1) for TX/RX
  - usb_rcvintpipe(usbdev, 2) for interrupt status

A malformed USB device can present these endpoints with transfer types
that differ from what the driver assumes.

Add a catc_usb_ep enum for endpoint numbers, replacing magic constants
throughout. Add usb_check_bulk_endpoints() and usb_check_int_endpoints()
calls after usb_set_interface() to verify endpoint types before use,
rejecting devices with mismatched descriptors at probe time.

Similar to
- commit 90b7f2961798 ("net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking")
which fixed the issue in rtl8150.

<title>net: usb: remove unnecessary get_drvinfo code and driver versions</title>

Many USB network drivers define get_drvinfo functions which add no
value over usbnet_get_drvinfo, only setting the driver name and
version. usbnet_get_drvinfo automatically sets the driver name, and
separate driver versions are now frowned upon in the kernel. Remove all
driver versions and replace these get_drvinfo functions with references
to usbnet_get_drvinfo where possible. Where that is not possible,
remove unnecessary code to set the driver name. Also remove two
unnecessary initializations from aqc111_get_drvinfo, an inaccurate
comment in pegasus.c, and an unused macro in catc.c.

timer_delete[_sync]() replaces del_timer[_sync](). Convert the whole tree
over and remove the historical wrapper inlines.

Conversion was done with coccinelle plus manual fixups where necessary.

Follow the advice of the below link and prefer 'strscpy' in this
subsystem. Conversion is 1:1 because the return value is not used.
Generated by a coccinelle script.

Commit 406f42fa0d3c ("net-next: When a bond have a massive amount
of VLANs...") introduced a rbtree for faster Ethernet address look
up. To maintain netdev-&gt;dev_addr in this tree we need to make all
the writes to it got through appropriate helpers.

In the case of catc we need a new temporary buffer to conform
to the rules for DMA coherency. That in turn necessitates
a reworking of error handling in probe().
