When ingress deaggregation is disabled, rmnet_map_ingress_handler() passes
the skb straight to __rmnet_map_ingress_handler(), skipping the length
validation that rmnet_map_deaggregate() performs on the aggregated path.
The parser then dereferences the MAP header and csum header/trailer based on
the on-wire pkt_len without checking skb-&gt;len, so a short frame is read out
of bounds:

Factor that validation out of rmnet_map_deaggregate() into
rmnet_map_validate_packet_len() and run it on the no-aggregation path too.
The MAP header is bounds-checked first, since this path can receive a frame
shorter than the header.

rmnet_dellink() removes the endpoint from the hash table with
hlist_del_init_rcu() and then immediately frees it with kfree(). However,
RCU readers on the receive path (rmnet_rx_handler -&gt;
__rmnet_map_ingress_handler) may still hold a reference to the endpoint and
dereference ep-&gt;egress_dev after the memory has been freed. The endpoint is
a kmalloc-32 object, and the stale read at offset 8 corresponds to the
egress_dev pointer.

Add an rcu_head field to struct rmnet_endpoint and replace kfree() with
kfree_rcu() so the endpoint memory remains valid through the RCU grace
period. Also remove the rmnet_vnd_dellink() call and inline only the
nr_rmnet_devs decrement, since rmnet_vnd_dellink() would set
ep-&gt;egress_dev to NULL during the grace period, creating a data race
with lockless readers.

qca_tty_receive() consumes each input byte before checking whether a
completed frame needs a fresh receive skb. When the current byte completes
a frame, the driver delivers that frame and then allocates a new skb for
the next one.

If that allocation fails, the current code returns i even though data[i]
has already been consumed and may already have completed the delivered
frame. Since serdev interprets the return value as the number of accepted
bytes, this under-reports progress by one byte and can replay the final
byte of the completed frame into a fresh parser state on the next call.

Return i + 1 in that failure path so the accepted-byte count matches the
actual receive-state progress.

The module parameter qcaspi_pluggable controls if QCA7000 signature
should be checked at driver probe (current default) or not. Unfortunately
this could fail in case the chip is temporary in reset, which isn't under
total control by the Linux host. So disable this check per default
in order to avoid unexpected probe failures.

Storing the maximum clock speed in module parameter qcaspi_clkspeed
has the unintended side effect that the first probed instance
defines the value for all other instances. Fix this issue by storing
it in max_speed_hz of the relevant SPI device.

This fix keeps the priority of the speed parameter (module parameter,
device tree property, driver default). Btw this uses the opportunity
to get the rid of the unused member clkspeed.

The whole mechanism to remember occurred SPI interrupts is not atomic,
which could lead to unexpected behavior. So fix this by using atomic bit
operations instead.

In case of a reset triggered by the QCA7000 itself, the behavior of the
qca_spi driver was not quite correct:
- in case of a pending RX frame decoding the drop counter must be
  incremented and decoding state machine reseted
- also the reset counter must always be incremented regardless of sync
  state

After calling ethtool -g it was not possible to adjust the TX ring
size again:

The reason for this is that the readonly setting rx_pending get
initialized and after that the range check in qcaspi_set_ringparam()
fails regardless of the provided parameter. So fix this by accepting
the exposed RX defaults. Instead of adding another magic number
better use a new define here.

The qca_spi driver stop and restart the SPI kernel thread
(via ndo_stop &amp; ndo_open) in case of TX ring changes. This is
a big issue because it allows userspace to prevent restart of
the SPI kernel thread (via signals). A subsequent change of
TX ring wrongly assume a valid spi_thread pointer which result
in a crash.

So prevent this by stopping the network traffic handling and
temporary park the SPI thread.
