commit a4e305ed60f7c41bbf9aabc16dd75267194e0de3 upstream.

pdev can be null and free_ring: can be called in 1297 with a null
pdev.

The legacy drivers that still get called from net/Space.c have prototypes
in net/Space, but this header is not included in most of the files that
define those functions:

Follow the advice of the below link and prefer 'strscpy' in this
subsystem. Conversion is 1:1 because the return value is not used.

Instead of disabling TSO at compile time if MAX_SKB_FRAGS > 32,
implement ndo_features_check() method for this driver for
a more dynamic handling.

If skb has more than 32 frags and is a GSO packet, force
software segmentation.

Most locally generated packets will use a small number
of fragments anyway.

For forwarding workloads, we can limit gro_max_size at ingress,
we might also implement gro_max_segs if needed.

This driver casts off the const and writes directly to netdev->dev_addr.
This will result in a MAC address tree corruption and a warning.

Commit 406f42fa0d3c ("net-next: When a bond have a massive amount
of VLANs...") introduced a rbtree for faster Ethernet address look
up. To maintain netdev->dev_addr in this tree we need to make all
the writes to it got through appropriate helpers.

This patch takes care of drivers which cast netdev->dev_addr to
a 16bit type, often with an explicit byte order.
