[ Upstream commit 1d09697ff22908ae487fc8c4fbde1811732be523 ]

of_get_next_parent() returns a node pointer with refcount incremented,
we should use of_node_put() on it when not need anymore.
This function only calls of_node_put() in normal path,
missing it in the error path.
Add missing of_node_put() to avoid refcount leak.

[ Upstream commit 02cd3032b154fa02fdf90e7467abaeed889330b2 ]

If device_register() fails in cxl_pci_afu|adapter(), the device
is not added, device_unregister() can not be called in the error
path, otherwise it will cause a null-ptr-deref because of removing
not added device.

As comment of device_register() says, it should use put_device() to give
up the reference in the error path. So split device_unregister() into
device_del() and put_device(), then goes to put dev when register fails.

'rc' is known to be 0 here.
Initialize 'rc' with the expected error code before using it.

While at it, avoid the affectation of 'rc' in a 'if' to make things more
obvious and linux style.

Pull char/misc driver updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the large set of char/misc/whatever driver subsystem updates
for 5.12-rc1. Over time it seems like this tree is collecting more and
more tiny driver subsystems in one place, making it easier for those
maintainers, which is why this is getting larger.

  Included in here are:

   - coresight driver updates

   - habannalabs driver updates

   - virtual acrn driver addition (proper acks from the x86 maintainers)

   - broadcom misc driver addition

   - speakup driver updates

   - soundwire driver updates

   - fpga driver updates

   - amba driver updates

   - mei driver updates

   - vfio driver updates

   - greybus driver updates

   - nvmeem driver updates

   - phy driver updates

   - mhi driver updates

   - interconnect driver udpates

   - fsl-mc bus driver updates

   - random driver fix

   - some small misc driver updates (rtsx, pvpanic, etc.)

All of these have been in linux-next for a while, with the only
reported issue being a merge conflict due to the dfl_device_id
addition from the fpga subsystem in here"

A local variable was used only within an if branch.
Thus move the definition for the variable “mm” into the corresponding
code block.

This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.
