commit c2d1a2130c93f6d758af58590b86b2254c7a1dec upstream.

The vivid_update_format_cap/out() functions must only be called if the
capture/output queue are not busy. But for the controls that select
the CROP/COMPOSE/SCALE capability that is not checked.

Only when streaming starts will they be set to 'grabbed' and it is
impossible to change the control, but between REQBUFS and STREAMON you
are still allowed to set these controls. Since vivid_update_format_cap/out
will change the format, this can cause unexpected results.

Besides adding these checks, also add a WARN_ON in
vivid_update_format_cap/out() if the queue is busy.

I'm 90% certain that this is the cause of this syzbot bug:

https://syzkaller.appspot.com/bug?extid=dac8f5eaa46837e97b89

But since we never have reproducers, it is hard to be certain. In any case,
these checks are needed regardless.

commit 1d793a29efb4260f90913f5287939bf95573b073 upstream.

Don't call vivid_update_format_cap() when switching to/from reduced fps
for HDMI inputs: that will also reset the format, which is overkill for
this.

Make a new vivid_update_reduced_fps() function that just updates the
dev->timeperframe_vid_cap.

commit 33e2b833c66b890a0d71c4fa82d4c97143f7f75f upstream.

When platform_device_register() fails in vimc_init(), the embedded
struct device in vimc_pdev has already been initialized by
device_initialize(), but the failure path returns the error without
dropping the device reference for the current platform device:

  vimc_init()
    -> platform_device_register(&vimc_pdev)
       -> device_initialize(&vimc_pdev.dev)
       -> setup_pdev_dma_masks(&vimc_pdev)
       -> platform_device_add(&vimc_pdev)

This leads to a reference leak when platform_device_register() fails.
Fix this by calling platform_device_put() before returning the error.

The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and
confirmed by manual review.

commit 7d8bf3d8f91073f4db347ed3aa6302b56107499c upstream.

syzbot reported a general protection fault in
vidtv_psi_ts_psi_write_into [1].

vidtv_mux_get_pid_ctx() can return NULL, but vidtv_mux_push_si() does
not check for this before dereferencing the returned pointer to access
the continuity counter. This leads to a general protection fault when
accessing a near-NULL address.

The root cause is that vidtv_mux_pid_ctx_init() does not check the
return value of vidtv_mux_create_pid_ctx_once() for PMT section PIDs.
If the allocation fails, the PID context is never created, but init
returns success. The subsequent vidtv_mux_push_si() call then gets
NULL from vidtv_mux_get_pid_ctx() and crashes.

Fix both the root cause (add error check in vidtv_mux_pid_ctx_init
for PMT PIDs) and add defensive NULL checks in vidtv_mux_push_si for
all vidtv_mux_get_pid_ctx() calls.

commit 5f8e73bde67e931468bc2a1860d78d72f0c6ba41 upstream.

vidtv_ts_null_write_into() and vidtv_ts_pcr_write_into() take their
argument structs by value, causing MSAN to report uninit-value warnings.
While only vidtv_ts_null_write_into() has triggered a report so far,
both functions share the same issue.

Fix by passing both structs by const pointer instead, avoiding the
stack copy of the struct along with its MSAN shadow and origin metadata.
The functions do not modify the structs, which is enforced by the const
qualifier.

commit a0e5a598fe9a4612b852406b51153b881592aede upstream.

syzbot reported a memory leak in vidtv_psi_service_desc_init [1].

When vidtv_start_streaming() fails inside vidtv_start_feed(), the
nfeeds counter is left incremented even though no feed was actually
started. This corrupts the driver state: subsequent start_feed calls
see nfeeds > 1 and skip starting the mux, while stop_feed calls
eventually try to stop a non-existent stream.

This state corruption can also lead to memory leaks, since the mux
and channel resources may be partially allocated during a failed
start_streaming but never cleaned up, as the stop path finds
dvb->streaming == false and returns early.

Fix by decrementing nfeeds back when start_streaming fails, keeping
the counter in sync with the actual number of active feeds.

commit f8e1fc918a9fe67103bcda01d20d745f264d00a7 upstream.

syzbot reported a general protection fault in vidtv_psi_desc_assign [1].

vidtv_psi_pmt_stream_init() can return NULL on memory allocation
failure, but vidtv_channel_pmt_match_sections() does not check for
this. When tail is NULL, the subsequent call to
vidtv_psi_desc_assign(&tail->descriptor, desc) dereferences a NULL
pointer offset, causing a general protection fault.

Add a NULL check after vidtv_psi_pmt_stream_init(). On failure, clean
up the already-allocated stream chain and return.

commit 98aabfe2d79f74613abc2b0b1cef08f97eaf5322 upstream.

vidtv_channel_si_init() creates a temporary list (program, service, event)
and ownership of the memory itself is transferred to the PAT/SDT/EIT
tables through vidtv_psi_pat_program_assign(),
vidtv_psi_sdt_service_assign(), vidtv_psi_eit_event_assign().

The problem here is that the local pointer where the memory ownership
transfer was completed is not initialized to NULL. This causes the
vidtv_psi_pmt_create_sec_for_each_pat_entry() function to fail, and
in the flow that jumps to free_eit, the memory that was freed by
vidtv_psi_*_table_destroy() can be accessed again by
vidtv_psi_*_event_destroy() due to the uninitialized local pointer, so it
is freed once again.

Therefore, to prevent use-after-free and double-free vulnerability,
local pointers must be initialized to NULL when transferring memory
ownership.

commit 3e43442d4994c9e1e202c98129a87e330f7faaed upstream.

The pixel_array control size was calculated incorrectly:
the dimensions were swapped (dims[0] should be the height), and the
values should be the width or height divided by PIXEL_ARRAY_DIV
and rounded up. So don't use roundup, but use DIV_ROUND_UP instead.

This bug is harmless in the sense that nothing will break, except that
it consumes way too much memory for this control.
