SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings. disable_irq() after request_irq() still has a time gap in which interrupts can come. request_irq() with IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag will disable IRQ auto-enable because of requesting. On the other hand, request_irq() after setting IRQ_NOAUTOEN as below irq_set_status_flags(irq, IRQ_NOAUTOEN); request_irq(dev, irq...); can also be replaced by request_irq() with IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag. Commit 57b8ff070f98 ("driver core: add devm_device_add_group() and friends") has added the managed version for creating sysfs group files.
