SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings. disable_irq() after request_irq() still has a time gap in which interrupts can come. request_irq() with IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag will disable IRQ auto-enable because of requesting. On the other hand, request_irq() after setting IRQ_NOAUTOEN as below irq_set_status_flags(irq, IRQ_NOAUTOEN); request_irq(dev, irq...); can also be replaced by request_irq() with IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag. They also share the same datasheet: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/40001393C.pdf So let users see that they have a compatible in front of them by adding AR1020 to the driver's description. We should not be forcing edge triggered interrupt, but rather let platform decide the kind of trigger it needs to use. Also, the driver is not quite safe with regard to edge-triggered interrupts as it does not try to kick the controller after requesting/enabling IRQ.
