It is preferred to use sizeof(*pointer) instead of sizeof(type)
due to the type of the variable can change and one needs not
change the former (unlike the latter).

At the same time refactor the code to not use assignment in "if"
conditions.

This patch has no effect on runtime behavior.

Variable z is being assigned a value that is never read, the
variable is redundant and can be removed.

Cleans up clang scan build warning:

value stored to 'z' is used in the enclosing expression,
the value is never actually read from 'z' [deadcode.DeadStores]

I do not think Vojtech wants snail mail these days (and he mentioned that
nobody has ever sent him snail mail), and the address is not even valid
anymore, so let's remove snail-mail instructions from the sources.

Don't populate the array seq on the stack, instead make it static.
Makes the object code smaller by over 170 bytes:

Before:

  13227 3232 0 16459 404b	drivers/input/joystick/adi.o

The input_free_device() function tests whether its argument is NULL and
then returns immediately. Thus the test around the call is not needed.

This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

module_gameport_driver() macro which makes the code smaller
and a bit simpler.

Change all call sites in drivers/input to not access the ABS axis
information directly anymore. Make them use the access helpers instead.

Also use input_set_abs_params() when possible.
Did some code refactoring as I was on it.
