[ Upstream commit ae5bc07ec9f73a41734270ef3f800c5c8a7e0ad3 ] Replace using stack-allocated buffers with a DMA-safe buffer for use with spi_read(). This allows the driver to be safely used with DMA-enabled SPI controllers. The buffer array is also converted to a struct with a union to make the usage of the memory in the buffer more clear and ensure proper alignment. [ Upstream commit f79aeb6c631b57395f37acbfbe59727e355a714c ] The trick of using __aligned(IIO_DMA_MINALIGN) ensures that there is no overlap between buffers used for DMA and those used for driver state storage that are before the marking. It doesn't ensure anything above state variables found after the marking. Hence move this particular bit of state earlier in the structure. The device has four programmable temperature alert outputs which can be used to monitor hot or cold-junction temperatures and detect falling and rising temperatures. It supports up to 255 degree celsius programmable hysteresis. Each alert can be individually configured by setting following options in the associated alert configuration register: - monitor hot or cold junction temperature - monitor rising or falling temperature - set comparator or interrupt mode - set output polarity - enable alert This patch binds alert outputs to iio events: - alert1: hot junction, rising temperature - alert2: hot junction, falling temperature - alert3: cold junction, rising temperature - alert4: cold junction, falling temperature All outputs are set in comparator mode and polarity depends on interrupt configuration. These drivers don't use the driver_data member of struct i2c_device_id, so don't explicitly initialize this member. This prepares putting driver_data in an anonymous union which requires either no initialization or named designators. But it's also a nice cleanup on its own. While add it, also remove commas after the sentinel entries.
