In function cm3232_reg_init(), it returns 0 even if the last call to
i2c_smbus_write_byte_data() returns a negative value (indicates error).
As a result, the return value may be inconsistent with the execution
status, and the caller of cm3232_reg_init() will not be able to detect
the error. This patch fixes the bug.

The TSL2563 driver provides three iio channels, two of which are raw ADC
channels (channel 0 and channel 1) in the device and the remaining one
is calculated by the two.  The ADC channel 0 only supports programmable
interrupt with threshold settings and this driver supports the event but
the generated event code does not contain the corresponding iio channel
type.

This is going to change userspace ABI.  Hopefully fixing this to be
what it should always have been won't break any userspace code.

The register mapping for the IIO driver for the Liteon Light and Proximity
sensor LTR501 interrupt mode is interchanged (ALS/PS).
There is a register called INTERRUPT register (address 0x8F)
Bit 0 represents PS measurement trigger.
Bit 1 represents ALS measurement trigger.
This two bit fields are interchanged within the driver.

As per the ACPI specification (Revision 5.0) [1], the data coming
from the sensor represent the ambient light illuminance reading
expressed in lux. So use IIO_CHAN_INFO_PROCESSED to signify that
the data are pre-processed.

However, to keep backward ABI compatibility, the IIO_CHAN_INFO_RAW
bit is not removed.

report hence marking what is a small semantic fix really for stable.

The return type "unsigned int" was used by the ltr501_match_samp_freq()
function despite of the aspect that it will eventually return a negative
error code.
Improve this implementation detail by deletion of the type modifier then.

This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

Commit 845c877009cf014b ("i2c / ACPI: Assign IRQ for devices that have
GpioInt automatically") automatically assigns the first ACPI GPIO
interrupt in client-&gt;irq, so we can remove the probing code from
drivers that use only one interrupt.

Since commit dab472eb931bc291 ("i2c / ACPI: Use 0 to indicate that
device does not have interrupt assigned") 0 is not a valid i2c
client irq anymore, so change all driver's checks accordingly.

The same issue occurs when the device is instantiated via device tree
with no IRQ, or from the i2c sysfs interface, even before the patch
above.
