There's at least one drive (MaxDigitalData OOS14000G) such that if it receives a large amount of I/O while entering an idle power state will first exit idle before responding, including causing SMART temperature requests to be delayed. scsi_execute_cmd() function can return both negative (linux codes) and positive (scsi_cmnd result field) error codes. Currently the driver just passes error codes of scsi_execute_cmd() to hwmon core, which is incorrect because hwmon only checks for negative error codes. This leads to hwmon reporting uninitialized data to userspace in case of SCSI errors (for example if the disk drive was disconnected). This patch checks scsi_execute_cmd() output and returns -EIO if it's error code is positive. Pull driver core updates from Greg KH: "Here is the large set of driver core changes for 6.4-rc1. Once again, a busy development cycle, with lots of changes happening in the driver core in the quest to be able to move "struct bus" and "struct class" into read-only memory, a task now complete with these changes. This will make the future rust interactions with the driver core more "provably correct" as well as providing more obvious lifetime rules for all busses and classes in the kernel. The changes required for this did touch many individual classes and busses as many callbacks were changed to take const * parameters instead. All of these changes have been submitted to the various subsystem maintainers, giving them plenty of time to review, and most of them actually did so. driver core: class: remove struct class_interface * from callbacks

The add_dev and remove_dev callbacks in struct class_interface currently pass in a pointer back to the class_interface structure that is calling them, but none of the callback implementations actually use this pointer as it is pointless (the structure is known, the driver passed it in in the first place if it is really needed again.) hwmon: (drivetemp) Avoid SCT usage on Toshiba DT01ACA family drives

It has been observed that Toshiba DT01ACA family drives have WRITE FPDMA QUEUED command timeouts and sometimes just freeze until power-cycled under heavy write loads when their temperature is getting polled in SCT mode. The SMART mode seems to be fine, though. Let's make sure we don't use SCT mode for these drives then. While only the 3 TB model was actually caught exhibiting the problem let's play safe here to avoid data corruption and extend the ban to the whole family.
