commit 620a8f131154250f6a64a07d049a4f235d6451a5 upstream.

Make sure to drop the references taken to the vtg devices by
of_find_device_by_node() when looking up their driver data during
component probe.

Note that holding a reference to a platform device does not prevent its
driver data from going away so there is no point in keeping the
reference after the lookup helper returns.

Reading access to connector->eld can happen at the same time the
drm_edid_to_eld() updates the data. Take the newly added eld_mutex in
order to protect connector->eld from concurrent access.

Prefer the struct drm_edid based functions for reading the EDID and
updating the connector.

The functional change is that the CEC physical address gets invalidated
when the EDID could not be read.

v2: Use drm_edid_read() instead of drm_edid_read_ddc() (Sima)
