[ Upstream commit 52d11c863ac92e36a0365249f7f6d27ac48c78bc ] This scary message can misled the user into thinking something bad has happened and needs to be fixed, however it could simply be part of a normal boot process where EPROBE_DEFER is taken into account. Therefore, let's use dev_err_probe so that this message doesn't get shown (by default) when the return code is EPROBE_DEFER. [ Upstream commit bb0a05acd6121ff0e810b44fdc24dbdfaa46b642 ] Use of DRM_FORMAT_RGB888 and DRM_FORMAT_BGR888 on e.g. RK3288, RK3328 and RK3399 result in wrong colors being displayed. The issue can be observed using modetest: modetest -s @:1920x1080-60@RG24 modetest -s @:1920x1080-60@BG24 Vendor 4.4 kernel apply an inverted rb swap for these formats on VOP full framework (IP version 3.x) compared to VOP little framework (2.x). Fix colors by applying different rb swap for VOP full framework (3.x) and VOP little framework (2.x) similar to vendor 4.4 kernel. [ Upstream commit 6471da5ee311d53ef46eebcb7725bc94266cc0cf ] The "ret" variable is declared as ssize_t and it can hold negative error codes but the "rk_obj->base.size" variable is type size_t. This means that when we compare them, they are both type promoted to size_t and the negative error code becomes a high unsigned value and is treated as success. Add a cast to fix this.
