Both of the two LVDS channels should be disabled for split mode
in the encoder's ->disable() callback, because they are enabled
in the encoder's ->enable() callback.

commit 78c68e8f5cd24bd32ba4ca1cdfb0c30cf0642685 upstream.

Notify drm core before sending pending events during crtc disable.
This fixes the first event after disable having an old stale timestamp
by having drm_crtc_vblank_off update the timestamp to now.

This was seen while debugging weston log message:
Warning: computed repaint delay is insane: -8212 msec

This occurred due to:
1. driver starts up
2. fbcon comes along and restores fbdev, enabling vblank
3. vblank_disable_fn fires via timer disabling vblank, keeping vblank
seq number and time set at current value
(some time later)
4. weston starts and does a modeset
5. atomic commit disables crtc while it does the modeset
6. ipu_crtc_atomic_disable sends vblank with old seq number and time

[ Upstream commit b58262396fabd43dc869b576e3defdd23b32fe94 ]

The LVDS signal integrity is only guaranteed when the correct enable
sequence (first IPU DI, then LDB) is used. If the LDB display output was
active before the imx-drm driver is loaded (like when a bootsplash was
active) the DI will be disabled by the full IPU reset we do when loading
the driver. The LDB control registers are not part of the IPU range and
thus will remain unchanged.

This leads to the LDB still being active when the DI is getting enabled,
effectively reversing the required enable sequence. Fix this by also
disabling the LDB on driver bind.

[ Upstream commit 6a055b92de15af987b4027826d43aa103c65a3c4 ]

Right now the vblank event completion is racing with the atomic update,
which is especially bad when the PRE is in use, as one of the hardware
issue workaround might extend the atomic commit for quite some time.

If the vblank IRQ happens to trigger during that time, we will prematurely
signal the atomic commit completion to userspace, which causes tearing
when userspace re-uses a framebuffer we haven't managed to flip away from
yet.

commit fc12bccda8b6f5c38139eceec9e369ed78091b2b upstream.

Commit deb65870b5d9d ("drm/imx: imx-tve: check the value returned by
regulator_set_voltage()") exposes the following probe issue:

63ff0000.tve supply dac not found, using dummy regulator
imx-drm display-subsystem: failed to bind 63ff0000.tve (ops imx_tve_ops): -22

When the 'dac-supply' is not passed in the device tree a dummy regulator is
used and setting its voltage is not allowed.

To fix this issue, do not set the dac-supply voltage inside the driver
and let its voltage be specified in the device tree.

Print a warning if the the 'dac-supply' voltage has a value different
from 2.75V.

If the DC clock is disabled before the attached IDMACs are properly
stopped the IDMACs may hang the IPU or even the whole system.

Make sure the IDMACs are in safe state by disabling the planes before
removal of the DC clock.

Also set the atomic parameter to false to stop calling the atomic_begin
hook, which does nothing useful as we immediately afterwards turn off
vblank interrupts and possibly send the pending vblank event.

Without this patch, after enabling the overlay plane with an RGBA
framebuffer, switching to a framebuffer without alpha channel would
cause the plane to vanish, since the pixel local alpha is constant
zero in that case. Disable local alpha again when setting an opaque
framebuffer.
