commit 2b56757a9a7456825eb668fde92299e01c5e2721 upstream.

Setting context engine slot N into I915_ENGINE_CLASS_INVALID /
I915_ENGINE_CLASS_INVALID_NONE and attempting to apply
I915_CONTEXT_PARAM_SSEU to the same slot N will deref NULL.
Fix that.

Intel Product Security.

commit eed3de2acf6aa5154d49098b026710b646db67ee upstream.

After a successful BALANCE/PARALLEL_SUBMIT extension on context
creation, error during processing of next user extension leaks
the siblings[] array. Fix that.

commit d21ad938398bca695a511307de38a65889e3b354 upstream.

sg_page() returns struct page pointer not (void *) so the scaling
of pread/pwrite is wrong for phys BO and wrong parts of BO would be
accessed if non-zero offset is used.

Last impacted platform with overlay or cursor planes using phys
mapping was Gen3/945G/Lakeport.

commit 5c4063c87a619e4df954c179d24628636f5db15f upstream.

TLDR: The bo-&gt;ttm object might be changed by calling ttm_bo_validate(),
move casting it to an i915_tt object later to actually get the right
      pointer.

A user reported hitting the following bug under heavy use on DG2:

Results from decode_stacktrace.sh pointed to dereference of a file pointer
field of a i915 TTM page vector container associated with an object being
purged on eviction. That path is taken when the object is marked as no
longer needed.

Code analysis revealed a possibility of the i915 TTM page vector container
being replaced with a new instance inside a function that purges content
of the object, should it be still busy. That function is called,
indirectly via a more general function that changes the object's placement
and caching policy, before the problematic dereference, but still after
a pointer to the container is captured, rendering the pointer no longer
valid.

Fix the issue by capturing the pointer to the container only after its
potential replacement.

v2: Move the container_of() inside the if block (Sebastian),
  - a simplified version of the commit description that explains briefly
why the change is necessary (Christian).

commit 029ae067431ab9d0fca479bdabe780fa436706ea upstream.

When a scatterlists table of a GEM shmem object of size 4 GB or more is
populated with pages allocated from a folio, unsigned int .length
attribute of a scatterlist may get overflowed if total byte length of
pages allocated to that single scatterlist happens to reach or cross the
4GB limit. As a consequence, users of the object may suffer from hitting
unexpected, premature end of the object's backing pages.

<title>drm/i915/gem: Zero-initialize the eb.vma array in i915_gem_do_execbuffer</title>

commit 4fe2bd195435e71c117983d87f278112c5ab364c upstream.

Initialize the eb.vma array with values of 0 when the eb structure is
first set up. In particular, this sets the eb-&gt;vma[i].vma pointers to
NULL, simplifying cleanup and getting rid of the bug described below.

During the execution of eb_lookup_vmas(), the eb-&gt;vma array is
successively filled up with struct eb_vma objects. This process includes
calling eb_add_vma(), which might fail; however, even in the event of
failure, eb-&gt;vma[i].vma is set for the currently processed buffer.

If eb_add_vma() fails, eb_lookup_vmas() returns with an error, which
prompts a call to eb_release_vmas() to clean up the mess. Since
eb_lookup_vmas() might fail during processing any (possibly not first)
buffer, eb_release_vmas() checks whether a buffer's vma is NULL to know
at what point did the lookup function fail.

In eb_lookup_vmas(), eb-&gt;vma[i].vma is set to NULL if either the helper
function eb_lookup_vma() or eb_validate_vma() fails. eb-&gt;vma[i+1].vma is
set to NULL in case i915_gem_object_userptr_submit_init() fails; the
current one needs to be cleaned up by eb_release_vmas() at this point,
so the next one is set. If eb_add_vma() fails, neither the current nor
the next vma is set to NULL, which is a source of a NULL deref bug
described in the issue linked in the Closes tag.

When entering eb_lookup_vmas(), the vma pointers are set to the slab
poison value, instead of NULL. This doesn't matter for the actual
lookup, since it gets overwritten anyway, however the eb_release_vmas()
function only recognizes NULL as the stopping value, hence the pointers
are being set to NULL as they go in case of intermediate failure. This
patch changes the approach to filling them all with NULL at the start
instead, rather than handling that manually during failure.

[ Upstream commit ed5915cfce2abb9a553c3737badebd4a11d6c9c7 ]

This reverts commit d6e020819612a4a06207af858e0978be4d3e3140.

The IS_DGFX check was put in place because error capture of buffer
objects is expected to be broken on devices with VRAM.

Userspace fix[1] to the impacted media driver has been submitted, merged
and a new driver release is out as 25.2.3 where the capture flag is
dropped on DG1 thus unblocking the usage of media driver on DG1.

commit 25eeba495b2fc16037647c1a51bcdf6fc157af5c upstream.

The intel-media-driver is currently broken on DG1 because
it uses EXEC_CAPTURE with recovarable contexts. Relax the
check to allow that.

I've also submitted a fix for the intel-media-driver:

commit fa6182c8b13ebfdc70ebdc09161a70dd8131f3b1 upstream.

When converting to folios the cleanup path of shmem_get_pages() was
missed. When a DMA remap fails and the max segment size is greater than
PAGE_SIZE it will attempt to retry the remap with a PAGE_SIZEd segment
size. The cleanup code isn't properly using the folio apis and as a
result isn't handling compound pages correctly.

v2 -&gt; v3:
(Ville) Just use shmem_sg_free_table() as-is in the failure path of
shmem_get_pages(). shmem_sg_free_table() will clear mapping unevictable
but it will be reset when it retries in shmem_sg_alloc_table().

v1 -&gt; v2:
(Ville) Fixed locations where we were not clearing mapping unevictable.
