commit 6cb05d89fd62a76a9b74bd16211fb0930e89fea8 upstream. kthread creation may possibly fail inside race_signal_callback(). In such a case stop the already started threads, put the already taken references to them and return with error code. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org). [ Upstream commit b794918961516f667b0c745aebdfebbb8a98df39 ] Since commit a6aa8fca4d79 ("dma-buf/sw-sync: Reduce irqsave/irqrestore from known context") by error replaced spin_unlock_irqrestore() with spin_unlock_irq() for both sync_debugfs_show() and sync_print_obj() despite sync_print_obj() is called from sync_debugfs_show(), lockdep complains inconsistent lock state warning. Use plain spin_{lock,unlock}() for sync_print_obj(), for sync_debugfs_show() is already using spin_{lock,unlock}_irq(). kthread: add kthread_stop_put

dma-buf: add dma_fence_timestamp helper

When a fence signals there is a very small race window where the timestamp isn't updated yet. sync_file solves this by busy waiting for the timestamp to appear, but on other ocassions didn't handled this correctly. Provide a dma_fence_timestamp() helper function for this and use it in all appropriate cases. dma-buf/sw_sync: Avoid recursive lock during fence signal

If a signal callback releases the sw_sync fence, that will trigger a deadlock as the timeline_fence_release recurses onto the fence->lock (used both for signaling and the the timeline tree). To avoid that, temporarily hold an extra reference to the signalled fences until after we drop the lock.
