There is only one Kconfig user of CONFIG_EMBEDDED and it can be switched to EXPERT or "if !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM" (suggested by Arnd). mm/slab: rename CONFIG_SLAB to CONFIG_SLAB_DEPRECATED

As discussed at LSF/MM [1] [2] and with no objections raised there, deprecate the SLAB allocator. Rename the user-visible option so that users with CONFIG_SLAB=y get a new prompt with explanation during make oldconfig, while make olddefconfig will just switch to SLUB. In all defconfigs with CONFIG_SLAB=y remove the line so those also switch to SLUB. Regressions due to the switch should be reported to linux-mm and slab maintainers. CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO is now implicitly selected if one picks one of the explicit options that could be DEBUG_INFO_DWARF_TOOLCHAIN_DEFAULT, DEBUG_INFO_DWARF4, DEBUG_INFO_DWARF5. This was actually not what I had in mind when I suggested making it a 'choice' statement, but it's too late to change again now, and the Kconfig logic is more sensible in the new form. Change any defconfig file that had CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO enabled but did not pick DWARF4 or DWARF5 explicitly to now pick the toolchain default. This configuration is obsolete and likely none is really using it. That's why remove it to simplify code. microblaze: Wire CMA allocator

Based on commit 04e3543e228f ("microblaze: use the generic dma coherent remap allocator") CMA can be easily enabled by calling dma_contiguous_reserve() at the end of mmu_init(). microblaze: Switch to standard restart handler

The microblaze uses the legacy APIs to dig out a GPIO pin defined in the root of the device tree to issue a hard reset of the platform. Asserting a hard reset should be done using the standard DT-enabled and fully GPIO descriptor aware driver in drivers/power/reset/gpio-restart.c using the bindings from Documentation/devicetree/bindings/power/reset/gpio-restart.txt To achieve this, first make sure microblaze makes use of the standard kernel restart path utilizing do_kernel_restart() from . Put in some grace time and an emergency print if the restart does not properly assert. As this is basic platform functionality we patch the DTS file and defconfig in one go for a lockstep change.
