ASoC: Updates for v7.2 There's been quite a lot of framework improvements this time around, though mainly cleanups and robustness rather than user visible features. The same pattern is seen with a lot of the driver work that's going on, there are new features but a huge proportion of this is bug fixing and cleanup work. We also have a good selectio of new device support. - Improvements to SDCA jack handling from Charles Keepax. - Use of device links to make suspend handling more robust from Richard Fitzgerald. - Use of a new helper to factor out a common pattern in SoundWire enmeration from Charles Keepax. - Slimming down of the component from Kuninori Morimoto. - Simplification of format auto selection from Kuninori Morimoto. - Lots of conversions to guard() from Bui Duc Phuc. - Addition of a simple-amplifier driver supporting more featureful GPIO controller amplifiers than the previous basic driver from Herve Codina. - Support for AMD ACP 7.x, Cirrus Logic CS42448/CS42888, Everest Semi ES9356, Mediatek MT2701 and MT8196, Renesas RZ/G3E, Spacemit K3, Texas Instruments TAC5xx2 and TAS67524.

ALSA: usb-audio: Add QUIRK_FLAG_MIXER_GET_CUR_BROKEN

Since commit 86aa1ea1f15c ("ALSA: usb-audio: Do not expose sticky mixers"), the UAC mixer core utilizes volume SET_CUR and GET_CUR to identify devices with sticky mixers. Unfortunately, even though most devices with sticky GET_CUR also have corresponding sticky SET_CUR, which I actually met more since the commit had been merged, there is also a rare case that some devices may have volume mixers that responds to SET_CUR properly but with its GET_CUR stubbed. This cause the sticky check to consider the mixer to be sticky and unnecessarily disable it. As the sticky check can't distinguish between sticky mixers and working SET_CUR but broken GET_CUR, add QUIRK_FLAG_MIXER_GET_CUR_BROKEN to tell that the device should fall into the second category when GET_CUR returns a constant value. In this case, the sticky check becomes non-fatal and only disables GET_CUR instead of the whole mixer. The current volume will then be provided by the internal cache that stores the last set volume. An info message prompting users to check MIXER_GET_CUR_BROKEN for potential sticky mixers is also added, so that users can learn how to do some experiments to determine what's going on. If the mixer surprisingly turns out to be non-sticky, they can submit a patch for a new quirk table entry. ASoC: Add support for GPIOs driven amplifiers

Herve Codina says: On some embedded system boards, audio amplifiers are designed using discrete components such as op-amp, several resistors and switches to either adjust the gain (switching resistors) or fully switch the audio signal path (mute and/or bypass features). Those switches are usually driven by simple GPIOs. This kind of amplifiers are not handled in ASoC and the fallback is to let the user-space handle those GPIOs out of the ALSA world. In order to have those kind of amplifiers fully integrated in the audio stack, this series introduces the audio-gpio-amp to handle them. This new ASoC component allows to have the amplifiers seen as ASoC auxiliarty devices and so it allows to control them through audio mixer controls. In order to ease the review, I choose to split modifications related to the merge of the gpio-audio-amp part into the simple-amplfier driver in several commits. ASoC: docs: Fix stale and misspelled references

While reading some docs, I have found some minor misspelled words and some parts that could be improved. The ASoC USB documentation refers to the USB DPCM backend link as DCPM in two places. The ASoC platform documentation still points readers to the old DPCM.txt name. The ALSA configuration guide also has two references that omit their current subdirectory. Fix a few stale and misspelled references in the ALSA and ASoC documentation and update the references and fix a typo in the ASoC index.
