2015-12-02openvswitch: properly refcount vport-vxlan modulePaolo Abeni1-1/+0
After 614732eaa12d, no refcount is maintained for the vport-vxlan module. This allows the userspace to remove such module while vport-vxlan devices still exist, which leads to later oops. v1 -> v2: - move vport 'owner' initialization in ovs_vport_ops_register() and make such function a macro Fixes: 614732eaa12d ("openvswitch: Use regular VXLAN net_device device") Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2015-10-23openvswitch: Fix egress tunnel info.Pravin B Shelar1-8/+0
While transitioning to netdev based vport we broke OVS feature which allows user to retrieve tunnel packet egress information for lwtunnel devices. Following patch fixes it by introducing ndo operation to get the tunnel egress info. Same ndo operation can be used for lwtunnel devices and compat ovs-tnl-vport devices. So after adding such device operation we can remove similar operation from ovs-vport. Fixes: 614732eaa12d ("openvswitch: Use regular VXLAN net_device device"). 2015-10-22openvswitch: Use dev_queue_xmit for vport send.Pravin B Shelar1-1/+1
With use of lwtunnel, we can directly call dev_queue_xmit() rather than calling netdev vport send operation. Following change make tunnel vport code bit cleaner. 2015-08-31ip-tunnel: Use API to access tunnel metadata options.Pravin B Shelar1-3/+2
Currently tun-info options pointer is used in few cases to pass options around. But tunnel options can be accessed using ip_tunnel_info_opts() API without using the pointer. Following patch removes the redundant pointer and consistently make use of API. 2015-08-30openvswitch: Remove egress_tun_info.Pravin B Shelar1-2/+1

2015-08-11openvswitch: Use regular GRE net_device instead of vportPravin B Shelar1-215/+22
Using GRE tunnel meta data collection feature, we can implement OVS GRE vport. This patch removes all of the OVS specific GRE code and make OVS use a ip_gre net_device. Minimal GRE vport is kept to handle compatibility with current userspace application. Signed-off-by: Pravin B Shelar <pshelar@nicira.com> Acked-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. 2015-07-21ip_tunnel: Make ovs_tunnel_info and ovs_key_ipv4_tunnel genericThomas Graf1-8/+8
Rename the tunnel metadata data structures currently internal to OVS and make them generic for use by all IP tunnels. Both structures are kernel internal and will stay that way. Their members are exposed to user space through individual Netlink attributes by OVS. It will therefore be possible to extend/modify these structures without affecting user ABI. 2014-12-24openvswitch: Fix vport_send double freePravin B Shelar1-7/+11
Today vport-send has complex error handling because it involves freeing skb and updating stats depending on return value from vport send implementation. This can be simplified by delegating responsibility of freeing skb to the vport implementation for all cases. So that vport-send needs just update stats. 2014-11-10openvswitch: Extend packet attribute for egress tunnel infoWenyu Zhang1-1/+11
OVS vswitch has extended IPFIX exporter to export tunnel headers to improve network visibility. To export this information userspace needs to know egress tunnel for given packet. By extending packet attributes datapath can export egress tunnel info for given packet. So that userspace can ask for egress tunnel info in userspace action. This information is used to build IPFIX data for given flow. 2014-10-28ovs: Turn vports with dependencies into separate modulesThomas Graf1-1/+22
The internal and netdev vport remain part of openvswitch.ko. Encap vports including vxlan, gre, and geneve can be built as separate modules and are loaded on demand. Modules can be unloaded after use. Datapath ports keep a reference to the vport module during their lifetime. Allows to remove the error prone maintenance of the global list vport_ops_list. 2014-10-06openvswitch: Wrap struct ovs_key_ipv4_tunnel in a new structure.Jesse Gross1-7/+9
Currently, the flow information that is matched for tunnels and the tunnel data passed around with packets is the same. However, as additional information is added this is not necessarily desirable, as in the case of pointers. This adds a new structure for tunnel metadata which currently contains only the existing struct. This change is purely internal to the kernel since the current OVS_KEY_ATTR_IPV4_TUNNEL is simply a compressed version of OVS_KEY_ATTR_TUNNEL that is translated at flow setup. 2014-06-30openvswitch: supply a dummy err_handler of gre_cisco_protocol to prevent ↵Wei Zhang1-0/+17
kernel crash When use gre vport, openvswitch register a gre_cisco_protocol but does not supply a err_handler with it. The gre_cisco_err() in net/ipv4/gre_demux.c expect err_handler be provided with the gre_cisco_protocol implementation, and call ->err_handler() without existence check, cause the kernel crash. 2014-05-17net/openvswitch: Use with RCU_INIT_POINTER(x, NULL) in vport-gre.cMonam Agarwal1-1/+1
This patch replaces rcu_assign_pointer(x, NULL) with RCU_INIT_POINTER(x, NULL) The rcu_assign_pointer() ensures that the initialization of a structure is carried out before storing a pointer to that structure. And in the case of the NULL pointer, there is no structure to initialize. So, rcu_assign_pointer(p, NULL) can be safely converted to RCU_INIT_POINTER(p, NULL) Signed-off-by: Monam Agarwal <monamagarwal123@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Jesse Gross <jesse@nicira.com>

2014-04-15ipv4: add a sock pointer to dst->output() path.Eric Dumazet1-1/+1
In the dst->output() path for ipv4, the code assumes the skb it has to transmit is attached to an inet socket, specifically via ip_mc_output() : The sk_mc_loop() test triggers a WARN_ON() when the provider of the packet is an AF_PACKET socket. The dst->output() method gets an additional 'struct sock *sk' parameter. This needs a cascade of changes so that this parameter can be propagated from vxlan to final consumer.
