2013-03-15ipv4: replace ip_fast_csum with csum_replace2Li RongQing1-3/+2
replace ip_fast_csum with csum_replace2 to save cpu cycles Signed-off-by: Li RongQing <roy.qing.li@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2011-10-19net: add skb frag size accessorsEric Dumazet1-4/+4
To ease skb->truesize sanitization, its better to be able to localize all references to skb frags size. Define accessors : skb_frag_size() to fetch frag size, and skb_frag_size_{set|add|sub}() to manipulate it. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Add const qualifiers to structs iphdr, ipv6hdr and in6_addr pointers where possible, to make code intention more obvious. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-11-20include/net net/ - csum_partial - remove unnecessary castsJoe Perches1-2/+2
The first argument to csum_partial is const void * casts to char/u8 * are not necessary Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-06-28net/inet_lro: remove setting skb->ip_summed when not LRO-ableEli Cohen1-2/+1
When an SKB cannot be chained to a session, the current code attempts to "restore" its ip_summed field from lro_mgr->ip_summed. However, lro_mgr->ip_summed does not hold the original value; in fact, we'd better not touch skb->ip_summed since it is not modified by the code in the path leading to a failure to chain it. Also use a cleaer comment to the describe the ip_summed field of struct net_lro_mgr. 2008-01-09[LRO] Fix lro_mgr->features checksBrice Goglin1-8/+8
lro_mgr->features contains a bitmask of LRO_F_* values which are defined as power of two, not as bit indexes. They must be checked with x&LRO_F_FOO, not with test_bit(LRO_F_FOO,&x). 2007-12-05[LRO]: fix lro_gen_skb() alignmentAndrew Gallatin1-1/+2
Add a field to the lro_mgr struct so that drivers can specify how much padding is required to align layer 3 headers when a packet is copied into a freshly allocated skb by inet_lro.c:lro_gen_skb(). Without padding, skbs generated by LRO will cause alignment warnings on architectures which require strict alignment (seen on sparc64). Myri10GE is updated to use this field. 2007-10-14fix endianness bug in inet_lroAl Viro1-1/+1
all uses of and almost all assignments to lro_desc->tcp_ack assume that it's net-endian; one converts net-endian to host-endian and sticks it in lro_desc->tcp_ack. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2007-10-11[NET]: sparse warning fixesStephen Hemminger1-1/+1
Fix a bunch of sparse warnings. Mostly about 0 used as NULL pointer, and shadowed variable declarations. One notable case was that hash size should have been unsigned. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2007-10-11[NET]: Generic Large Receive Offload for TCP trafficJan-Bernd Themann1-0/+600
This patch provides generic Large Receive Offload (LRO) functionality for IPv4/TCP traffic. LRO combines received tcp packets to a single larger tcp packet and passes them then to the network stack in order to increase performance (throughput). The interface supports two modes: Drivers can either pass SKBs or fragment lists to the LRO engine. Signed-off-by: Jan-Bernd Themann <themann@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
