Refer to virtual NICs instead of GuestLANs. Signed-off-by: Stefan Raspl <raspl@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Frank Blaschka <frank.blaschka@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-05-16s390: delete any traces of token ring supportPaul Gortmaker1-3/+2
The token ring support is going away from the core kernel. Divorce the S390 drivers from it in advance. 2011-11-10net: Fix references to deleted NET_ETHERNET Kconfig setting.David S. Miller1-1/+1
Change them over to plain "ETHERNET" Reported-by: Paul Bolle <pebolle@tiscali.nl> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Acked-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com>
2011-01-05[S390] cleanup s390 KconfigMartin Schwidefsky1-22/+29
Make use of def_bool and def_tristate where possible and add sensible defaults to the config symbols where applicable. This shortens the defconfig file by another ~40 lines. Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2010-09-09Kconfig: have CCWGROUP depend on CLAWMike Frysinger1-1/+1
Since the claw code calls ccwgroup_remove_ccwdev(), we need to make sure CCWGROUP is enabled when CLAW is enabled. Otherwise we hit fun undefined references at build time: ERROR: "ccwgroup_remove_ccwdev" [drivers/s390/net/claw.ko] undefined! ERROR: "ccwgroup_probe_ccwdev" [drivers/s390/net/claw.ko] undefined! ERROR: "ccwgroup_driver_register" [drivers/s390/net/claw.ko] undefined! ERROR: "ccwgroup_driver_unregister" [drivers/s390/net/claw.ko] undefined! 2010-03-08[S390] smsgiucv_app: deliver z/VM CP special messages (SMSG) as ueventsHendrik Brueckner1-0/+10
The smsgiucv_app driver registers a callback with the smsgiucv driver to receive z/VM CP special messages (SMSG) starting with "APP". When the callback is called for special messages, the driver creates an uevent for the received message. The uevent consists of additional environment data containing the message prefix ("APP"), message sender, and message content. udev rules can be used to trigger application specific actions through matching the content or sender of the special message. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
