2021-02-18net: mdio: Remove of_phy_attach()Florian Fainelli1-30/+0
We have no in-tree users, also update the sfp-phylink.rst documentation to indicate that phy_attach_direct() is used instead of of_phy_attach(). Signed-off-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-02-16net: phy: rename PHY_IGNORE_INTERRUPT to PHY_MAC_INTERRUPTHeiner Kallweit1-2/+2
Some internal PHY's have their events like link change reported by the MAC interrupt. We have PHY_IGNORE_INTERRUPT to deal with this scenario. I'm not too happy with this name. We don't ignore interrupts, typically there is no interrupt exposed at a PHY level. So let's rename it to PHY_MAC_INTERRUPT. This is in line with phy_mac_interrupt(), which is called from the MAC interrupt handler to handle PHY events. 2021-01-19mdio-bitbang: Export mdiobb_{read,write}()Geert Uytterhoeven1-2/+4
Export mdiobb_read() and mdiobb_write(), so Ethernet controller drivers can call them from their MDIO read/write wrappers. Better place for of_mdio.c is drivers/net/mdio. Move of_mdio.c from drivers/of to drivers/net/mdio Signed-off-by: Calvin Johnson <calvin.johnson@oss.nxp.com> Acked-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>

Rejecting non-native endian BTF overlapped with the addition of support for it. The rest were more simple overlapping changes, except the renesas ravb binding update, which had to follow a file move as well as a YAML conversion. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-09-24net: mdio-ipq4019: add Clause 45 supportRobert Marko1-14/+89
While up-streaming the IPQ4019 driver it was thought that the controller had no Clause 45 support, but it actually does and its activated by writing a bit to the mode register. So lets add it as newer SoC-s use the same controller and Clause 45 compliant PHY-s. In the commit adding the IPQ4019 MDIO driver, defines for timeout and sleep partially used lower case. Lets change it to upper case in line with the rest of driver defines. 2020-08-27net: mdio: Move MDIO drivers into a new subdirectoryAndrew Lunn26-0/+5090
Move all the MDIO drivers and multiplexers into drivers/net/mdio. The mdio core is however left in the phy directory, due to mutual dependencies between the MDIO core and the PHY core. Take this opportunity to sort the Kconfig based on the menuconfig strings, and move the multiplexers to the end with a separating comment. v2: Fix typo in commit message Acked-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S.
