2019-05-07Remove MODULE_ALIAS() calls that take undefined macroMasahiro Yamada1-1/+0
These files do not define (USBHS_)DRIVER_NAME. Yet, they can be successfully compiled because they are never built as a module by anyone, i.e, the MODULE_ALIAS() calls are always no-op. A problem showed up when a patch "moduleparam: Save information about built-in modules in separate file" was applied. With this new feature, MODULE_*() will be populated even if the callers are built-in. To avoid the build errors, the lines referencing to the undefined macro must be removed. The complete fix is to remove all MODULE_* and #include <linux/module.h> like many "make ... explicitly non-modular" commits did. For now, I am touching only the offending lines. 2018-05-16mfd: omap-usb-tll: Allocate driver data at onceLadislav Michl1-35/+25
Allocating memory to store clk array together with driver data simplifies error unwinding and allows deleting memory allocation failure message as there is now only single point of failure already covered by allocation failure report. 2017-09-05mfd: omap-usb-tll: Fix register offsetsArnd Bergmann1-2/+2
gcc-8 notices that the register number calculation is wrong when the offset is an 'u8' but the number is larger than 256: drivers/mfd/omap-usb-tll.c: In function 'omap_tll_init': drivers/mfd/omap-usb-tll.c:90:46: error: overflow in conversion from 'int' to 'u8 {aka unsigned char}' chages value from 'i * 256 + 2070' to '22' [-Werror=overflow] This addresses it by always using a 32-bit offset number for the register. This is apparently an old problem that previous compilers did not find. 2017-04-27mfd: omap-usb-tll: Configure ULPIAUTOIDLETony Lindgren1-2/+3
The idle mode needs to be only disabled for UTMIAUTOIDLE while ULPIAUTOIDLE can be enabled. This matches the TLL_CHANNEL_CONF_i register configuration for ehci-tll in the Motorola Linux kernel tree for Wrigley 3G LTE modem on droid 4 and the modem still stays responsive. 2017-04-27mfd: omap-usb-tll: Fix inverted bit use for USB TLL modeTony Lindgren1-1/+1
Commit 16fa3dc75c22 ("mfd: omap-usb-tll: HOST TLL platform driver") added support for USB TLL, but uses OMAP_TLL_CHANNEL_CONF_ULPINOBITSTUFF bit the wrong way. The comments in the code are correct, but the inverted use of OMAP_TLL_CHANNEL_CONF_ULPINOBITSTUFF causes the register to be enabled instead of disabled unlike what the comments say. Without this change the Wrigley 3G LTE modem on droid 4 EHCI bus can be only pinged few times before it stops responding. 2014-01-06mfd: omap-usb-tll: Raw read and write endian fixVictor Kamensky1-4/+4
All OMAP IP blocks expect LE data, but CPU may operate in BE mode. Need to use endian neutral functions to read/write h/w registers. I.e instead of __raw_read[lw] and __raw_write[lw] functions code need to use read[lw]_relaxed and write[lw]_relaxed functions. If the first simply reads/writes register, the second will byteswap it if host operates in BE mode. Changes are trivial sed like replacement of __raw_xxx functions with xxx_relaxed variant.
