Sequence numbering of the commands submitted to the OCC is required by
the OCC interface specification. Add sequence numbering and check for
the correct sequence number on the response.

Some chips have attributes which exist on more than one page but the
attribute is not presently marked as paged. This causes the attributes
to be generated with the same label, which makes it impossible for
userspace to tell them apart.
Marking all such attributes as paged would result in the page suffix
being added regardless of whether they were present on more than one
page or not, which might break existing setups. Therefore, we add a
second check which treats the attribute as paged, even if not marked as
such, if it is present on multiple pages.

Drivers may register to hwmon and request for also registering
with the thermal subsystem (HWMON_C_REGISTER_TZ). However,
some of these driver, e.g. marvell phy, may be probed from
Device Tree or being dynamically allocated, and in the later
case, it will not have a dev->of_node entry.
Registering with hwmon without the dev->of_node may result in
different outcomes depending on the device tree, which may
be a bit misleading. If the device tree blob has no 'thermal-zones'
node, the *hwmon_device_register*() family functions are going
to gracefully succeed, because of-thermal,
*thermal_zone_of_sensor_register() return -ENODEV in this case,
and the hwmon error path handles this error code as success to
cover for the case where CONFIG_THERMAL_OF is not set.
However, if the device tree blob has the 'thermal-zones'
entry, the *hwmon_device_register*() will always fail on callers
with no dev->of_node, propagating -EINVAL.
If dev->of_node is not present, calling of-thermal does not
make sense. For this reason, this patch checks first if the
device has a of_node before going over the process of registering
with the thermal subsystem of-thermal interface. And in this case,
when a caller of *hwmon_device_register*() with HWMON_C_REGISTER_TZ
and no dev->of_node will still register with hwmon, but not with
the thermal subsystem. If all the hwmon part bits are in place,
the registration will succeed.

This patch makes it possible to pass custom struct attribute_group array
via the pmbus_driver_info struct so that those can be added to the
attribute groups passed to hwmon_device_register_with_groups().
This makes it possible to register custom sysfs attributes by PMBUS
drivers similar to how you can do this with most other busses/classes.

The occ driver supports two formats for the temp sensor value.
The OCC firmware for P8 supports only the first format, for which
no range checking or error processing is performed in the driver.
Inspecting the OCC sources for P8 reveals that OCC may send
a special value 0xFFFF to indicate that a sensor read timeout
has occurred, see

That situation wasn't handled in the driver. This patch adds invalid
temp value check for the sensor data format 1 and handles it the same
way as it is done for the format 2, where EREMOTEIO is reported for
this case.

The error sysfs attribute returns the stored error state of the OCC and
doesn't depend on the OCC poll response. Therefore, split the error
attribute into it's own function to avoid failing out of the function if
the poll response fails.

The OCC driver limits the rate of sending poll commands to the OCC. If a
user reads a hwmon entry after a poll response resulted in an error and
is rate-limited, the error is invisible to the user. Fix this by storing
the last error and returning that in the rate-limited case.

The MAX31785(A) has shown erratic behaviour across multiple system
designs, unexpectedly clock stretching and NAKing transactions. Perform
a one-shot retry if necessary for all access attempts.

The driver may have overridden the pmbus_read_byte_data() callback, so
make sure we use that to achieve expected behaviour.
This helps in the MAX31785 case where we may need to perform a one-shot
retry of transfers in the face of a failure.

Work around the shonky behaviour seen with the MAX31785 where we fail
to set the page register in some circumstances.
There's no real elegant way to do this. We can propagate the error up,
but that forces us to retry the operation way up the call tree in any
number of places. It also forces callers to split out pmbus_set_page()
from the pmbus_{read,write}_{byte,word}_data() functions in order to
differentiate between a failure to set the page and a failure to read a
register (that might not exist, in which case an error is anticiptated).

In the case of power sensor version 0xA0, the sensor indexing overlapped
with the "caps" power sensors, resulting in probe failure and kernel
warnings. Fix this by specifying the next index for each power sensor
version.

Use devm_hwmon_device_register_with_info() instead of
devm_hwmon_device_register_with_groups() to register the hwmon
device to simplify the code and make it easier to maintain.
As part of this change, thermal device registration is moved into
the hwmon core.

Use SENSOR[_DEVICE]_ATTR[_2]_{RO,RW,WO} to simplify the source code,
to improve readability, and to reduce the chance of inconsistencies.
Also replace any remaining S_<PERMS> in the driver with octal values.
The conversion was done automatically with coccinelle. The semantic patches
and the scripts used to generate this commit log are available at
https://github.com/groeck/coccinelle-patches/hwmon/.
This patch does not introduce functional changes. It was verified by
compiling the old and new files and comparing text and data sizes.
