2019-04-16hwmon: (stts751) Fix build warningGuenter Roeck1-1/+1
The following build warning is seen if CONFIG_OF is disabled. drivers/hwmon/stts751.c:88:34: warning: ‘stts751_of_match’ defined but not used Mark stts751_of_match as __maybe_unused to fix the problem. Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net>
2019-02-19hwmon: (stts751) Use permission specific SENSOR[_DEVICE]_ATTR variantsGuenter Roeck1-32/+32
Use SENSOR[_DEVICE]_ATTR[_2]_{RO,RW,WO} to simplify the source code, to improve readability, and to reduce the chance of inconsistencies. Also replace any remaining S_<PERMS> in the driver with octal values. The conversion was done automatically with coccinelle. The semantic patches and the scripts used to generate this commit log are available at https://github.com/groeck/coccinelle-patches/hwmon/. This patch does not introduce functional changes. It was verified by compiling the old and new files and comparing text and data sizes. Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net>
2017-10-30hwmon: (stts751) Fix buffer size passed to snprintfJean Delvare1-9/+9
Function snprintf already cares for the terminating NUL at the end of the string, the caller doesn't need to do it. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <jdelvare@suse.de> Cc: Andrea Merello <andrea.merello@gmail.com> Cc: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net>
2017-08-13hwmon: (stts751) buffer overrun on wrong chip configurationAnton Vasilyev1-0/+4
If stts751 hw by some reason reports conversion rate bigger then 9: ret = i2c_smbus_read_byte_data(priv->client, STTS751_REG_RATE); then dereferencing stts751_intervals[priv->interval] leads to buffer overrun. The patch adds sanity check for value stored on chip. Found by Linux Driver Verification project (linuxtesting.org). 2017-04-02hwmon: (stts751) Add OF device ID tableJavier Martinez Canillas1-0/+7
The driver doesn't have a struct of_device_id table but supported devices are registered via Device Trees. This is working on the assumption that a I2C device registered via OF will always match a legacy I2C device ID and that the MODALIAS reported will always be of the form i2c:<device>. But this could change in the future so the correct approach is to have an OF device ID table if the devices are registered via OF.
