hlist_for_each_entry_rcu() has built-in RCU and lock checking.

Pass cond argument to list_for_each_entry_rcu() to silence
false lockdep warning when CONFIG_PROVE_RCU_LIST is enabled
by default.

The commit 69c51582ff786 ("dpif-netlink: don't allocate per
thread netlink sockets"), in Open vSwitch ovs-vswitchd, has
changed the number of allocated sockets to just one per port
by moving the socket array from a per handler structure to
a per datapath one. In the kernel datapath, a vport will have
only one socket in most case, if so select it directly in
fast-path.

ASSERT_OVSL() in ovs_vport_del() is unnecessary because
ovs_vport_del() is only called by ovs_dp_detach_port() and
ovs_dp_detach_port() calls ASSERT_OVSL() too.

<title>netlink: make nla_nest_start() add NLA_F_NESTED flag</title>

<id>urn:sha1:ae0be8de9a53cda3505865c11826d8ff0640237c</id>
<content type='text'>
Even if the NLA_F_NESTED flag was introduced more than 11 years ago, most
netlink based interfaces (including recently added ones) are still not
setting it in kernel generated messages. Without the flag, message parsers
not aware of attribute semantics (e.g. wireshark dissector or libmnl's
mnl_nlmsg_fprintf()) cannot recognize nested attributes and won't display
the structure of their contents.

Unfortunately we cannot just add the flag everywhere as there may be
userspace applications which check nlattr::nla_type directly rather than
through a helper masking out the flags. Therefore the patch renames
nla_nest_start() to nla_nest_start_noflag() and introduces nla_nest_start()
as a wrapper adding NLA_F_NESTED. The calls which add NLA_F_NESTED manually
are rewritten to use nla_nest_start().

Except for changes in include/net/netlink.h, the patch was generated using
this semantic patch:

-nla_nest_start(E1, E2)

The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b, gfp)

with:
        kcalloc(a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

The Coccinelle script used for this was:

// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

When sending a packet to a tunnel device, the dev's hard_header_len
could be larger than the skb-&gt;len in function packet_length().
In the case of ip6gretap/erspan, hard_header_len = LL_MAX_HEADER + t_hlen,
which is around 180, and an ARP packet sent to this tunnel has
skb-&gt;len = 42. This causes the 'unsign int length' to become super
large because it is negative value, causing the later ovs_vport_send
to drop it due to over-mtu size. The patch fixes it by setting it to 0.

Support receiving, extracting flow key and sending of L3 packets (packets
without an Ethernet header).

Note that even after this patch, non-Ethernet interfaces are still not
allowed to be added to bridges. Similarly, netlink interface for sending and
receiving L3 packets to/from user space is not in place yet.

We'll need it to alter packets sent to ARPHRD_NONE interfaces.

Change do_output() to use the actual L2 header size of the packet when
deciding on the minimum cutlen. The assumption here is that what matters is
not the output interface hard_header_len but rather the L2 header of the
particular packet. For example, ARPHRD_NONE tunnels that encapsulate
Ethernet should get at least the Ethernet header.
