Parsing entries in an ACPI table had assumed a generic header
structure. There is no standard ACPI header, though, so less common
layouts with different field sizes required custom parsers to go through
their subtable entry list.

Create the infrastructure for adding different table types so parsing
the entries array may be more reused for all ACPI system tables and
the common code doesn't need to be duplicated.

<title>ia64: export node_distance function</title>

The numa_slit variable used by node_distance is available to a
module as long as it is linked at compile-time. However, it is
not available to loadable modules. Leading to errors such as:

  ERROR: "numa_slit" [drivers/nvme/host/nvme-core.ko] undefined!

The error above is caused by the nvme multipath code that makes
use of node_distance for its path calculation. When the patch was
added, the lightnvm subsystem would select nvme and always compile
it in, leading to the node_distance call to always succeed.
However, when this requirement was removed, nvme could be compiled
in as a module, which exposed this bug.

This patch extracts node_distance to a function and exports it.
Since ACPI is depending on node_distance being a simple lookup to
numa_slit, the previous behavior is exposed as slit_distance and its
users updated.

In current implementation, SRAT Memory Affinity Structure table
parsing is restricted to number of maximum memblocks allowed
(NR_NODE_MEMBLKS). However NR_NODE_MEMBLKS is defined individually
as per architecture requirements. Hence removing the restriction of
SRAT Memory Affinity Structure parsing in ACPI driver code and
let architecture code check for allowed memblocks count.

This check is already there in the x86 code, so do the same on ia64.

<title>x86/ACPI: keep x86_cpu_to_acpiid mapping valid on CPU hotplug</title>

We may or may not have all possible CPUs in MADT on boot but in any
case we're overwriting x86_cpu_to_acpiid mapping with U32_MAX when
acpi_register_lapic() is called again on the CPU hotplug path:

acpi_processor_hotadd_init()
  -&gt; acpi_map_cpu()
    -&gt; acpi_register_lapic()

As we have the required acpi_id information in acpi_processor_hotadd_init()
propagate it to acpi_map_cpu() to always keep x86_cpu_to_acpiid
mapping valid.

The whole patch-set aims at making cpuid &lt;-&gt; nodeid mapping persistent. So that,
when node online/offline happens, cache based on cpuid &lt;-&gt; nodeid mapping such as
wq_numa_possible_cpumask will not cause any problem.
It contains 4 steps:
1. Enable apic registeration flow to handle both enabled and disabled cpus.
2. Introduce a new array storing all possible cpuid &lt;-&gt; apicid mapping.
3. Enable _MAT and MADT relative apis to return non-present or disabled cpus' apicid.
4. Establish all possible cpuid &lt;-&gt; nodeid mapping.

This patch finishes step 4.

This patch set the persistent cpuid &lt;-&gt; nodeid mapping for all enabled/disabled
processors at boot time via an additional acpi namespace walk for processors.

Since acpi_numa_arch_fixup() is only used in arch ia64, move it there

Pull initial ACPI support for arm64 from Will Deacon:
"This series introduces preliminary ACPI 5.1 support to the arm64
kernel using the "hardware reduced" profile. We don't support any
peripherals yet, so it's fairly limited in scope:

   - MEMORY init (UEFI)

   - ACPI discovery (RSDP via UEFI)

   - CPU init (FADT)

   - GIC init (MADT)

   - SMP boot (MADT + PSCI)

   - ACPI Kconfig options (dependent on EXPERT)

ACPI for arm64 has been in development for a while now and hardware
has been available that can boot with either FDT or ACPI tables. This
has been made possible by both changes to the ACPI spec to cater for
ARM-based machines (known as "hardware-reduced" in ACPI parlance) but
also a Linaro-driven effort to get this supported on top of the Linux
kernel. This pull request is the result of that work.

These changes allow us to initialise the CPUs, interrupt controller,
and timers via ACPI tables, with memory information and cmdline coming
from EFI. We don't support a hybrid ACPI/FDT scheme. Of course,
there is still plenty of work to do (a serial console would be nice!)
but I expect that to happen on a per-driver basis after this core
  series has been merged.

Anyway, the diff stat here is fairly horrible, but splitting this up
and merging it via all the different subsystems would have been
extremely painful. Instead, we've got all the relevant Acks in place
and I've not seen anything other than trivial (Kconfig) conflicts in
-next (for completeness, I've included my resolution below). Nearly
half of the insertions fall under Documentation/.

So, we'll see how this goes. Right now, it all depends on EXPERT and
I fully expect people to use FDT by default for the immediate future"

CPU hardware ID (phys_id) is defined as u32 in structure acpi_processor,
but phys_id is used as int in acpi processor driver, so it will lead to
some inconsistence for the drivers.

Furthermore, to cater for ACPI arch ports that implement 64 bits CPU
ids a generic CPU physical id type is required.

So introduce typedef u32 phys_cpuid_t in a common file, and introduce
a macro PHYS_CPUID_INVALID as (phys_cpuid_t)(-1) if it's not defined
by other archs, this will solve the inconsistence in acpi processor driver,
and will prepare for the ACPI on ARM64 for the 64 bit CPU hardware ID
in the following patch.
